Redeeming Love

For anyone that knows me knows I love a good "beach read" which includes pretty much any trashy romance book, not like Fabio kind of books but you get the picture. So it might come as a surprise that no competition my all time favorite book is Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers "A powerful retelling of the book of Hosea, Redeeming Love is a life-changing story of God's unconditional, redemptive, all-consuming love." so says the book cover but boy can I tell you all about it!
I am not one to get really into a book and not being able to put it down remember I am a "beach reader" but there was just something about this book! I recommend this to anyone and everyone, girls especially but boys totally need to read it to! What girl doesn't want a "michael Hosea." Lets just say that any boy who read this would get some MAJOR points in most girls eyes. Getting boys to read this might be a little difficult but  any girl that has not read it need to IMMEDIATELY. It will change your outlook on what you deserve from a man and it will show you what we are receiving everyday for our amazing God.
It is such an amazing story of forgiveness and obedience, I could go into total detail of every chapter and tell you all about it but that would just be mean of me because you have to go read it!
I have read this book probably 5 different times and each time it teaches me something new. Either a lesson on trusting Gods plan, being patient, or just the idea of how amazing the love God gives us everyday in every situation is. AND who doesn't love to read about the PERFECT LOVE STORY, yes it is a tad bit unrealistic but who cares every girl loves a real life fairy tale!

This story brings me such comfort because of the fact that we rely on the people around us to accept us and to build us up but all we need to remember is that God never gives up on us. it is a story of true love between and man and a woman and the greater true love between us and our Heavenly Father.
*Warning might become a distraction to your everyday life and there will be A LOT of tears!

                                     "Though Fallen Low
                                       God Raised her up
                                             An Angel."

READ and dwell in the fairy tale!
Then go out and find your very own Michael Hosea or if you already have him hold on tight!
Have a good day and Give a good day!

Where to begin with Catherine Donald.....Well I could say a lot but I think I will probably sensor myself a little bit...... Who knows where I would be with out this girl! first of all I would probably be living on the side of the road with a smelly hobo if she had not decided to text me and see if I needed a roommate and a place to live soph year! These last two years with her have been better then I could have ever dreamed a roommate being We are definitely two very different people but some how we just work! She can be quite but you know she is always listening and you never quite know what is going on inside her head but it is always something entertaining!

Her whole family has totally welcomed me and loved me and over the past year and a half I have loved each and everyone of them and are so thankful for their kindness and generosity. But that is just the way Cat bon Don is she is loving caring and would do absolutely anything for her friends and I can only hope to be close to as good a friend as she is to me! You never know what you are in for being with Cat but gosh has she added excitement to my life! again WHO KNOWS where I would be without her
Cat has gotten me through WAY more then a roomie should have too! ER visits, fostering puppies, buying a bunny, break ups, trips, and my MESS to just name a few.  I can never thank her enough for all the love and support to is constantly showing me but I can always try so THANK YOU CATHERINE BONNEY DONALD for all that you do!
Not only do we share the same car, same name, our pet bunny, she is my 3rd cousin, she is a best friend and the best roommmate in the whole world!

SUNDAY SHOUT-OUT... Just ignore that it is monday!

So when I thought about starting a blog I knew I wanted to be able to use it to show my friends how much they mean to me! So thanks to one of my blog inspirations Kelsie I am now going to start a SUNDAY SHOUT-OUT since I was a little busy yesterday it is just coming to you on a monday!
Well my friends makes me who I am and I can never thank them enough for always being there for me! So hopefully you my readers (if i have any ha) will enjoy learning a little bit about my BESTIES!
So since we had a 21st birthday this weekend the perfect person to start with is RACHAEL BURROW!
Who would have known after going to school together our whole lives it would just take us living in the same dorm and same sorority for us to become such great friends! Rachael is one of the kindest genuine and quirky person I know. She is always the one up for a party or just a little movie wine night! Who knows where I would be if not for her freshman year!
I know yall just love hearing about how wonderful rachael is but I know you all just want to know how her 21st went...... well it went great the night before was the night of disaster! We have a tendency to be a little goofy so somehow a little tickling turned into a split forehead and a very speedy trip to the Starkville ER resulting in 12 stitches! Turning 21 in the ER probably wasnt what Rach had planned to start her bday but that is something that we will never forget!
Even looking sexy in the Er!

Well sadly I do not have some crazy 21st bday story to share from her actually birthday but thursday night was plenty of excitement for us. After a wonderful dinner at anthonys and a fun night at Zobras we wrapped up her 21st birthday a day we have been waiting for for months! unfortunatly she didnt dance on a bar or complete a list of 21  things but she did wear a light up button and cry in the bar just because she wanted us to know how much she cared for us! and that is so Rachael always wanting everyone happy and full of love!
So rach... whether we are in Starkville NOLA beach trips DeSoto or just in Jackson you always add some excited and I love you! in your own words "OMG thank yall for being my friends I love you"

Well in other news! I promise I am going to be a better blogger! More to come this week! You all just wait!

Simple Joys of the everyday...

Well this is super fun, I really have been way to excited about this blog all day and my sweet friends have been so supportive of my little dream to be a blogger!

A few weekends ago I was given the wonderful privilege to go back up to Mentone, Al to Camp DeSoto (which I am sure you all will find out is my FAVORITE place in the world I would rather be there then anywhere) for a fun weekend to retreat with staff from last summer. My gosh was it needed I just needed to be put in a place that I know for a fact God is SO THERE. It was such an amazing weekend to catch up with friends and just reflect on my life. We had a few talks by this wonderful woman named Melissa who is so good at connecting with all of us. Her talks were great but the one that really hit me was "Making something of our everyday life." how often do we get bored with our everyday routine, well for me its A LOT. But what I forget to do is to dwell on those simple joys, the joy of a sunny day, good talk with friends, finally understanding something in trig, a good hug or just knowing that I am loved. I am so blessed and i tend to forget that sometimes, I have a wonderful life with amazing family and friends, and I have the ability to really make something of my everyday, so why don't I? Sadly I don't think I have an answer to that but I have such peace that I am here for a larger purpose every simple thing I do means something. Thankfully that does not cause me to constantly look to the future but it gives me such a desire to truly dwell on the everyday.....
So when you find yourself getting bored with your everyday remember there are so many simple joys to cherish and in the end there is something so much bigger waiting for us!
I'll leave you with a little glimpse into my idea of heaven......

Lets see what this is all about!

I have a blog.... this is something that I have wanted to do for a very very long time. I have learned so much from other peoples blogs and their insight on their everyday life, I do not have any expectations that this blog will inspire anyone but it will finally put to rest my longing desire to make one. My excuse has always been that my life is just not exciting enough to have a blog but as my dear friend Caroline reminds me "ahh these are the days" such a true statement from such a wise friend! I am living what according to some people is the time of their lives so why isn't that worth writing a blog over!
I am not quite to the real world and I am not just getting started. I have lived, loved and laughed ( a lot) these past few years and thankfully I am still living, loving and laughing my way through life figuring out what is my purpose what is that plan God has had in store for me from the very beginning. So I guess if you are reading this you are along for my ride, a ride that I know will be full of crazy love on those many heavenly days!
So... Here we go!
